STABLE Kick Off - Athens 2019
From January 8th to 10th the meeting was held at the NTUA premises (university campus), in the administrative building and at the PLATON premises of the TITANIA Hotel (city center of Athens). The use of interferometric data was discussed; on geotechnical risk analysis as input for the analysis of seismic risk.NTUA presented its approach and the basic idea is to tackle the “medium-scale” urban area of interest for cultural heritage, including the historic city centers.Three options for structural analysis:1) Detailed and useful mechanical method for individual buildings2) Indirect method. It is a simplified method useful for medium-term scale.3) A combination of the first two options that provide the mechanical method used for a few standard types of buildings and applied to the indirect method to validate larger areas.
